This project based at the University of Strathclyde and Glasgow University is investigating how primary school aged children’s speech develops over time. It will determine the extent to which speech development varies between typically developing children, and use this information to identify those children in the wider community who may need support to develop their speech.
This multi-stage project led by Yvonne Wren and Sam Burr aims to determine the most effective interventions for children with SSD within the UK publicly funded healthcare system. So far the team have published an umbrella review of outcome measures for SSD; designed a standardised diagnostic pathway for SSD; and designed a Core Outcome Set for measuring outcomes in this group of children. Current projects will test the feasibility of the Core Outcome Set in England and Wales.
